This report will describe the overall risks and associated mitigations associated to novel fuels and energy systems (i.e. hydrogen storage and large lithium batteries). Analysis will first focus on the identification of risks, passing through proposals of health and fault monitoring systems to mitigate any possible failure modes. As a conclusion, the report will analyse post-impact conditions of such novel technologies.
