On September 8, 2026, the ALBATROS consortium will host its final dissemination event (registration form here). This group brings together Europe’s leading aerospace research centres, universities, and industrial partners.

This half-day, hybrid session focuses on clean aviation emergency response and hydrogen aviation safety. We invite aviation professionals, researchers, operators, and regulators from across the industry. This includes key stakeholders from major European projects, national aerospace initiatives, and international safety networks.

The morning session runs from 09:30 to 13:00. We designed this schedule for flexible participation. Join us in person at the NLR facilities in Amsterdam. Alternatively, you can connect online from anywhere.

Why this event matters for next-generation aviation safety

Aviation is shifting toward hydrogen and battery propulsion at a rapid pace. Clean technologies are progressing fast. However, a critical question remains: are safety and emergency protocols keeping up?

Over the past four years, the ALBATROS consortium has focused on this challenge. We conducted extensive field tests, developed hardware, and defined new aviation safety standards. This event provides a practical platform to share these validated results. We look forward to welcoming both technical experts and industry decision-makers.

  • For safety professionals and researchers: We will share data-driven strategies for liquid hydrogen LH2 leaks management and aircraft battery fire protocols. Our team will also showcase new sensor technologies and physical prototypes.

  • For regulators, operators, and managers: We will present ready-to-use methodologies. You can integrate these directly into your daily operations and regulatory compliance frameworks.

What to expect during the morning session

The morning begins with registration and a welcoming coffee for on-site attendees at the NLR facilities. We will then open the core technical sessions. During these blocks, consortium partners will present the safety standards they developed throughout the project.

Following the presentations, we will transition to an interactive showcase. On-site participants can view physical prototypes and explore new sensor technologies. We will also walk you through our new Digital Toolkit. We will conclude the morning with an open discussion on daily operations. Afterward, we invite you to a light networking lunch.
